פאלמר הפך לבן העשרה השלישי בלבד שמבקיע עבור מנצ'סטר סיטי בליגת האלופות אחרי קלצ'י איהנאצ'ו ופיל פודן. שלוש דקות על כר הדשא ונגיעה אחת בלבד הספיקו לו על מנת למצוא את הרשת ולהציג את עצמו בפני הכדורגל האירופי ונראה שמדובר בהתחלה של משהו גדול.
מדובר למעשה בהמשך לשבוע פורה מאוד של פאלמר שהחל כבר בשבת. בסביבות השעה 17:00 שעון אנגליה הקשר הצעיר עלה להופעה שנייה בקריירת הבוגרים שלו ב-0:2 על ברנלי וכעבור מספר שעות פתח בהרכב הקבוצה עד גיל 23 במדיה הבקיע שלושער. וכמובן שגם ברשת התלהבו מהשער של הנער. המיטב לפניכם:
