גמר ליגת האלופות של 2024 נפתח בפארסה. כחצי דקה לאחר שריקת הפתיחה היום (שבת) בין ריאל מדריד לבורוסיה דורטמונד, שלושה אוהדים פרצו לדשא והובילו לעצירת המשחק הגדול מכולם לשתי דקות שלמות.
"בושה לוומבלי", כתב קרייג הופ מהדיילי מייל. "האבטחה בדיחה", הוסיפו אוהדים. "פרצו לדשא תוך שנייה בשביל סלפי עם ג'וד בלינגהאם. המשחק בקושי התחיל".
באצטדיון התמודדו בעבר עם הפארסה בגמר היורו האחרון, מה שהוביל לביקורת ולכך שהושקעו 5 מיליון ליש"ט והוצבו 2,500 מאבטחים ו-2,000 שוטרים באצטדיון. גם זה, כנראה, לא הספיק.
