לרוב כשאנחנו שומעים על אבות בספורט הקונוטציה היא שלילית. אב שמקלל מאמן, אב שיוצא להגנת בנו בתקשורת ורומס את קבוצתו או אב שמעורב עד לרמת דקות המשחק של בנו. כמובן שכמעט תמיד מגיעה אחר כך ביקורת על ההתנהלות, אבל במקרה של לברון ג'יימס הביקורת הגיעה בלי קשר למקרה עצמו.
ספק אם העניין באמת מטריד את השחקן הטוב בעולם בעשור וחצי האחרונים, אבל במידה שכן הוא יכול להישאר מחוייך, שכן לא מעט מכוכבי הליגה ולא מעט אנשי מקצוע בארה"ב יצאו להגנתו. לאור המקרה החריג, ריכזנו בשבילכם את כתב ההגנה של לברון ג'יימס.
