מי מאיתנו שעוקב אחרי עלילות ה-NBA בארה"ב, וודאי מכיר את המושג "ווג' בומב' לטובה - אלא שבימים האחרונים, אותו מושג, שהפך לסימן ההיכר של כתב ESPN הבכיר מכולם, אדריאן ווג'נרובסקי, קיבל משמעות שונה לחלוטין.
ווג'נרובסקי, כתב ה-NBA הפורה ביותר לכל הדעות, הסבתך בשערורייה שלא רואים כל יום. הכל התחיל במייל "תמים" שהגיע אליו ממשרדו של הסנאטור, ג'וש האולי, בו הוא מבקר את הליגה על התנהלותה עם המשבר בסין. כמות שעות מאוחר יותר, אותו האולי פירסם ברשתות החברתיות צילום מסך של הודעת דוא"ל, בה נראה שווג' עונה תגובה וולגרית שנחסוך מכם (אם בכל זאת תרצו, הציוץ מצורף).
התשובה של ESPN, כמובן, לא איחרה לבוא - ולמרות הספק, לא היה מנוס מלהשעות את הכתב, שחתום בענקית השידור על 2021. החל מרגע ההודעה על השעייתו, שסביר להניח שתיגמר בקרוב, החל קמפיין ברשתות תחת הכותרת: "שחררו את ווג'".
אותו קמפיין, "למרבה ההפתעה", הגיע גם לכוכבי ה-NBA וביניהם לברון ג'יימס, לו וויליאמס, אנס קאנטר, אייזיאה תומאס ואפילו רומאו טרוויס, אקס נתניה וחברו הטוב של לברון. הנה מיטב הציוצים >>
