בתחילת עונת 2019/20 היו שתי פייבוריטיות ברורות לזכייה ב-NBA - שתיהן הגיעו מלוס אנג'לס. הלייקרס מן הסתם נחשבה למועמדת מובהקת לנוכח החיבור בין לברון ג'יימס ואנתוני דייויס לצד שחקנים חזקים נוספים, אבל גם הקליפרס היו שם, שכן שילוב של קוואי לנארד ופול ג'ורג' הוא לא פחות מפחיד, ובעונה הסדירה הם אכן סיפקו את הסחורה. הלילה (בין שלישי לרביעי) המסע של הקליפרס הסתיים עם הדחה ב-4:3 בסדרת חצי גמר המערב מול דנבר. ברשתות החברתיות לא ריחמו על הקבוצה מ-LA, כאשר לא מעט שחקנים בליגה הטובה בעולם גם כן הצטרפו ל'חגיגה'. המיטב פה:
