לברון ג'יימס הדהים את העולם פעם נוספת הלילה (בין שלישי לרביעי) כשהפך לשיאן הנקודות בכל הזמנים. רבים בירכו את ג'יימס על ההישג, מאגדות הלייקרס בעבר ועד לנשיא ארצות הברית.
במהלך המשחק, שנעצר במיוחד ברגע שבירת השיא, נשיא ארצות הברית ג'ו ביידן בירך את ג'יימס: "אתה השפעה גדולה על המשחק, ויותר מזה. כמו קארים עבדול ג'באר וביל ראסל היית יותר גדול מהספורט והצלחת לסחוף מדינה שלמה, מאחל בהצלחה לך ולכל משפחתך".
במהלך המשחק בירכו את לברון מג'יק ג'ונסון, קארים עבדול ג'באר (שהעניק לג'יימס את כדור המשחק), הראפר דרייק ועוד.
קווין דוראנט בירך את ג'יימס: "מצחיק רק לחשוב על זה שאתה הסקורר הגדול בהיסטוריה. ההישג שלך והמאמץ מדהימים, אוהב אותך".
קומישינר ה-NBA אדם סילבר אמר: "ברכות ללברון על שבירת אחד השיאים הקדושים בספורט. זה הישג מדהים שמעיד על ההצלחה שלו לאורך 20 העונות שלו ב-NBA. ובאופן די מדהים, לברון ממשיך לשחק ברמה גבוהה והוא עדיין כותב את ההיסטוריה שלו"
