נבחרת ישראל נתנה הכל, אבל הפסידה היום (ראשון) 89:79 לנבחרת צרפת בסיום משחק כדורסל מצוין. מעבר לעניין הגדול שהמשחק משך במחוזותינו, גם באירופה התייחסו בהרחבה ובחיבה לכחולים-לבנים של חסין.
"צריך להסיר את הכובע בפני ישראל", כתב העיתונאי האוקראיני אולקסנדר פרושטה. "חצי גמר 5 ברציפות וגמר רביעי ב-6 שנים. מדהים. פשוט מדהים. גמר נהדר לאחד הטורנירים הטובים בשנים האחרונות".
